Service Buildings About 10 Metres North West Of Glynn House

These service buildings, located about 10 metres northwest of Glynn House, date from the mid to late 18th century and have undergone later alterations and additions. They are constructed of stone rubble with granite quoins and brick dressings, topped with a slate roof featuring ridge tiles and gable ends, along with a bellcote that has a pyramidal roof.

The central block has vaulted cellars on the ground floor and a loft above, though its original function is unclear. To the right, there is a taller block believed to have been a brewhouse, which has a hipped roof and a lean-to attached to its front. To the left of the central block, there is a lower two-storey range.

The exterior of the central block is two storeys high with a nearly symmetrical four-bay front that includes a central pediment. The ground floor features two 20th-century double doors with brick segmental arches leading to the cellars. The first floor has four 18th-century 12-pane sash windows in exposed boxes, each with flat brick arches. The pediment contains a clock in the tympanum, and the bellcote with a bell is situated on the roof ridge.

The brewhouse, projecting to the right, is also two storeys tall and features granite long and short quoins. At the upper level, there is an 18th-century 12-pane sash window with a cambered brick arch, along with a 20th-century door on the left side and a similar 12-pane sash window on the first floor with a cambered brick arch. The lower two-storey block to the left has two bays and two windows on the ground floor, one of which is blocked, and two 6-pane sashes with flat brick arches on the first floor. A single-storey lean-to is attached to the front right of the brewhouse and has two 20th-century doors. The interior has not been inspected.
