Description

The cross in the front garden of Cross Cottage in Waterlake is a medieval or earlier structure made of granite, standing on a raised earth mound. It features a rectangular shaft that is 1.35 metres high, topped with a round head measuring 65 centimetres in diameter. The east and west faces of the cross are decorated with an intaglio design and a border. The cottage to the east, which is not included in the listing, has a reused chamfered granite arch with a pointed head at its entrance.
