Description
The obelisk is a monument celebrating Queen Victoria's Jubilee of 1887, erected in 1889, as indicated by the datestone. It is made of granite and features a tall rusticated granite obelisk that stands on an ashlar granite battered pedestal. The pedestal has a deep coved cornice and a stepped rusticated plinth. There are remains of iron railings surrounding the monument.
