Description

This milestone, located 500 meters northwest of Great Kellow Farm, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of granite and has a square shape with a narrow black painted band. The milestone features painted, incised uppercase lettering on three faces, indicating directions and distances to Fowey, Polperro, and Looe, with the distance to Looe being 4 miles and 1 furlong. There is also a benchmark below the inscriptions.
