Description
The railway bridge at SW 556371 is a road bridge over a railway cutting that disrupts an ancient earthwork. It was built in 1852 for the West Cornwall Railway. The bridge features granite rubble walls, brick arches, a vaulted structure, and rock-faced granite copings. It has iron railings and is designed as a single-span bridge with swept abutments. The span is elliptically arched with battered abutments, and it includes a cambered parapet above, with the ends of the parapet returned and iron railings at three ends.
