Description

The Old Pump House, including the adjoining wall to the north and northeast, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features slate rubble walls and a rag slate pyramidal hipped roof without ridge tiles. The building has a square plan with an open front that faces a field boundary wall, creating a small enclosure in front.

The exterior has no openings apart from the open front. Inside, there is an iron pump, likely from the 19th century, positioned against the right side wall towards the back. To the left, there is a niche in the side wall with slate shelves. The roof structure appears to be original and includes diagonally crossed ties. This pump house is an interesting relic that remains virtually unaltered.
