Description

NORTH BILL CONGDON'S SHOP SX 27 NE 4/130 Barn, cartshed and row of pigshouses on south side of yard at Treswell Farm GV II Barn, cartshed and row of pigshouses. Probably early to mid C19. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roof with hipped ends and gable end to lower range on right. Plan: Rectangular plan barn with pigs houses attached on right hand side and 4-bay cart shed on left hand side. Exterior: Two storey barn in centre with wide doors to left of centre flanked by narrower door openings; the granite lintels above the openings continued to form a continuous string. Two doors on first floor with row of pigeon holes between. Attached on left hand side, set slightly forward , a 4-bay open fronted cartshed with unmoulded granite piers. Attached on right-hand side a lower range of pigshouses. 2 pairs of doors to left and door to right: granite and timber jambs. Rear elevation unaltered with narrow ventilation slits. Interior: not inspected.
