Shippon 15 Metres To North West Of Hurden

This building is a shippon, likely with a granary above, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble with granite dressings and features a slate roof with hipped ends. The overall plan is rectangular, with shippon doors on the ground floor facing the rear of Hurden Farmhouse.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical front. There is a wide door opening to the right of the centre, with two doors to the left and one to the right. The granite lintels above these openings are connected to form a continuous granite string band. On the first floor, there are two door openings with reused dressed granite chamfered lintels. The rear elevation includes ventilation slits on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
