Description
Poplars is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed of rendered stone rubble. It features a cement washed rag slate roof with gable ends. There is a projecting stone rubble chimney stack on the right gable end and a smaller chimney stack on the left. The layout consists of two rooms with a cross or through passage, likely with a larger hall or kitchen on the right, which is heated by the projecting end stack, and a smaller parlour on the left, heated by the end stack. There is a small outbuilding attached to the right gable end.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical two-window front. A 20th-century part-glazed door is located to the left of centre, accompanied by a four-pane sash window to the left and two four-pane sash windows to the right. On the first floor, there are two four-pane sashes set in gabled half dormers. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
