Description
Forge Cottage is a house built in 1841, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends and end stacks. There is also a single-storey range on the left with an asbestos slate roof. The layout likely consists of two rooms with a central entrance, along with a shallow range at the rear that may have been added for service rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows, featuring 4-pane sash windows and a 20th-century porch at the center. The first floor has sashes in gabled half dormers, each topped with terracotta finials. The letters 'TC' are located in the center. The single-storey range on the left has 20th-century windows.
The interior has not been inspected. Forge Cottage is situated close to the Church of St Tetha.
