Description

This is a headstone located approximately 24 metres south of the Church of Saint Sithney. It dates from the early 19th century and is dedicated to Francis Thomas, who died in 1837 at the age of 59. The headstone is made of dressed granite and features a shaped head. On the west side, there is an incised slate insert with a round head in the middle. The slate is inscribed with the epitaph: "Our plays are as the grass Or like the morning showr If one sharp blast sweep o'er the field It withers in the hour."
