Description
Two headstones are located 5 metres to the south of the southeast corner of the south aisle of the Church of St. Menefreda. One headstone commemorates Charles Gibbs of Pittymie, who died in 1781, and his wife Jane, who died in 1804. The headstone is made of slate and has a rectangular shape. The second headstone, also made of slate and partly eroded, is in memory of Jane, the wife of Robert Martyn of Porteath, who died in 1801. Both headstones feature inscriptions in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
