Description
Little Cothill Guesthouse is a house built in the early 19th century, with three sections, the right end likely dating from the 18th century. The building is whitewashed and plastered, topped with a slate roof that has diminishing courses and gabled ends, along with brick chimneys. It has two storeys and features a window arrangement of one window, then two windows, followed by one window, with changes in the roofline and the slightly set-back right end indicating the three different builds. The entrance consists of a six-panel front door located in the set-back block, sheltered by a slated canopy supported by a timber post. To the left of the door are four ground floor windows, which are 20th-century horned 12-pane sashes. To the right of the door is a ground floor sash window with four panes over eight panes. On the first floor, there are four 12-pane sash windows, with the rightmost window possibly being an 18th-century sash. The interior has not been inspected. The guesthouse is part of a notable group with the Stratton Garden Hotel, contributing to its group value.
