Description

This is a gateway arch located 15 meters to the southwest of Scawns House, possibly dating from the 16th century. It has been resited and reused. The arch is made of granite with a moulded four-centred design and jambs that are reset in rubblestone walls. There are panelled double doors beneath the arch. Above the arch, set into the top wall, is a table featuring a bust of Queen Victoria along with the dates of her reign.
