Description
This milestone, located in Kenwyn Threemilestone, dates from the early 19th century or was recut during that time. It is made of painted dressed granite and has a rectangular shape with a round head. The north-facing side features a shallow dressed panel with an incised inscription that reads "FROM" with crude serifs, followed by "TRURO 3 MILES." The original inscription likely included the number "3" in relief. This milestone holds particular significance as the village, which expanded greatly in the 20th century, takes its name from it.
