Description

Oakdean is a suburban house dating from the mid-19th century. It features plain stucco with a plinth and a dry slate hipped roof that has a moulded cornice beneath deep eaves. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window front. It retains original 12-pane hornless sash windows and a central doorway that includes a four-panel top-glazed door and a plain fanlight. This doorway is set within a distyle Ionic porch, which has fluted columns and a dentilled cornice supporting a moulded entablature. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
