Description
This is a late 18th-century bank barn located approximately 40 metres north-east of the Church of St Martin by Looe. The barn features slatestone rubble walls and a fairly steep rag slate hipped roof. It has a rectangular plan built into the bank and consists of two storeys with a two-window range. The exterior includes unglazed slit windows and a wide threshing opening on the first floor, which is similar to one at the rear. There is a loading doorway with an old ledged door, positioned centrally at the right-hand end. Inside, the barn retains its original first-floor structure and pegged roof structure.
