Description
Nos 10 and 11 Market Place are early 19th century buildings constructed of stucco with a slate hipped roof. They rise to three storeys and feature five windows, which are sashes without glazing bars. On the first floor, two of the windows on the right are set in round-headed recesses. The ground floor of No 10 has a large late 19th century shop front with a high fascia and end cornice, while No 11 has a modern shop front that is not in keeping with the rest of the building. There is also one window on the left-hand return elevation. These buildings are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 9 to 14 and Cresta Silks Limited in Queen Square.
