Description

The Globe Inn is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Queen Square in Penzance. It features a long range with a gable end facing the square and has a steep slate roof. The parapeted gable end is adorned with a ball finial and an urn. The inn is two storeys tall with an attic, displaying two sash windows on the upper floor, which lack glazing bars, and two semi-circular attic windows. The first-floor windows are framed with plain architraves and have a cornice above. On the ground floor, there is a segmental arched window. The building is also characterized by moulded string courses. The east elevation, which faces Queen Street, is two storeys high and has four windows. The Globe Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 2 and the Seven Stars Public House on Parade Street.
