Tregean And Well Cottage And Adjoining Cartshed

Tregean and Well Cottage and the adjoining cartshed are a pair of cottages built around the early 19th century. The left-hand cottage, known as Tregean, features a front made of granite ashlar, while the rest of the structure is constructed from painted granite rubble with granite dressings. The cottages have an asbestos slate roof that connects to the taller party wall of Churchtown House on the left, with a gable end on the right. There are brick chimneys located over the central cross party wall and the gable end. The cartshed, which is single-storey, has a grouted scantle slate roof.

The layout consists of a double depth plan. Each cottage has a parlour or living room at the front on the right side, an entrance hall leading to a stair hall on the left, and likely a kitchen behind each front room. The exterior is two storeys high with a slightly irregular three-window west front. The left-hand cottage has a two-window front with a doorway beneath the left-hand window, while the other cottage has a doorway on its left. The cartshed is positioned forward on the right side. The doors are panelled, and the cottages feature late 19th or early 20th century horned sash windows. The interiors have not been inspected.
