Description
Trevilley Cross is a Grade II listed cross located at Trevilley Cross, Sennen. It features a detached shaft and base, with origins dating back to the pre-Conquest period. The structure consists of three granite monoliths, with the wheel-head currently lying on a hedge. The upper face of the wheel-head displays a relief of the crucifixion set against a Latin cross, while the reverse side features a Latin cross in relief facing downward. Nearby, there is a chamfered granite shaft standing upright in the angle between two hedges, and a roughly-hewn socketted base leaning against the hedge. This cross is very close to its original site.
