Description
Mermaid Cottage, located on The Corner in Porthmellon, dates to the late 18th century. The cottage is constructed of roughcast and extends over three storeys, featuring four windows. These windows are sash windows with glazing bars, with three windows on the first floor. The roof is slate, hipped, and cement-washed. The cottage is situated on top of a cliff, with its rear fronting the road. It is included in the listing primarily for its group value, forming a notable grouping alongside nearby properties including Seaview Cottage, Rock Cottage, The Rising Sun Inn, and Chyreen.
