Description

SW 73 NE ST GLUVIAS TRELUSWELL

1/134 Piggery and adjoining outbuildings - at approximately 15 metres east of Lower Treluswell Farmhouse GV II

Piggery, stables and trap houses. Circa early-mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate to front of roof towards the left, otherwise replaced with corrugated asbestos. Gable ends. Plan: Irregular overall U-shaped plan. Stables on the left, with trap house at right angles in front of the left-hand side; piggery in the middle and returning at right angles in front of the stables. Exterior: Single storey. Elevations virtually unaltered since the C19. Old ledged doors in original openings. Irregular north west front has 6 doorways to main range and a wide doorway in front of the trap house on the left. 4 low pigsty doorways on the right and 2 more on the return wall fronting the right hand range which also has 3 stable doorways and a wide trap house doorway. Interior not inspected.
