Description
The piggery, stables, and trap houses located approximately 15 metres east of Lower Treluswell Farmhouse date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings. The front of the roof is covered with grouted scantle slate on the left side, while the rest has been replaced with corrugated asbestos. The building has an irregular overall U-shaped plan, with stables on the left and a trap house positioned at right angles in front of the stables. The piggery is situated in the middle, returning at right angles in front of the stables.
This single-storey structure has elevations that have remained virtually unchanged since the 19th century. It features old ledged doors in their original openings. The irregular northwest front includes six doorways to the main range and a wide doorway in front of the trap house on the left. There are four low pigsty doorways on the right and two more on the return wall facing the right-hand range, which also contains three stable doorways and a wide trap house doorway. The interior has not been inspected.
