Description
This is a tombchest from 1746, located 5 metres north of the nave of the Church of St Uda in St Tudy. It commemorates John Lockwood, who died in 1746, along with his son William, who died in 1761, and his other sons John and Justinian, who also died in 1761. The tombchest is made of brick and features a rectangular slate lid. There is a ledger stone from the 18th century attached to the south side of the chest, which is in memory of Joseph, the son of Giles of Poulshe (Polshea).
