Description
This is a headstone dedicated to Richard Pearce, located 8 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St Ildierna in Lansallos. It dates from 1774 and commemorates Richard, the son of James and Mary Pearce. The headstone is made of slate and features a segmental arched head. It is inscribed with lower case lettering that includes serifs, and the inscription begins with the verse, "Dear Mother I am wrapt in joyful thought To think now nigh of Heaven I am brought..."
