East Cottage is a probably early 19th-century granite rubble cottage with a slate roof featuring gable ends. The road-facing elevation is one storey high and has two windows with sashes that do not have glazing bars. There are steps leading up to a central recessed doorway, which has a modern glazed door. This building is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Foye Cottage, Corner Cottage, and Toast.
