Description

The gun battery located north-northwest of St Michael's Mount dates back to the 17th century. It features granite ashlar and granite rubble walls topped with embattled parapets. The design includes a platform with two outer retaining walls that form an obtuse angle. There are five splayed embrasures on the west wall and six similar embrasures on the north wall. The battery was equipped with 11 cannons, each positioned on a granite flagged floor with cobbles placed between them.
