Description
This is a resited pinnacle on a shaft, dating from the medieval period. It is a tall granite monolith with an octagonal shaft that features trefoil stops and a Gothic head. Originally located on the causeway to St Michael's Mount, it was likely used as a lantern to mark the causeway. The pinnacle was moved around the late 19th century and has been enhanced with Gothic style plaster detail.
