Description

The cross shaft located west of St Michael's Mount is a medieval structure made of granite. It is a tall monolith with an octagonal shape, which is wider at the base. The shaft is positioned over a rocky outcrop and is set on an earth and stone platform. This platform is bordered on two sides by reused medieval chamfered granite monoliths.
