Description

This is a medieval granite cross located 5 meters to the west of Hendra Farmhouse. It has a rectangular section and consists of a tall shaft that is now in two pieces, with a total length, including the head, of just under 2 meters. The head is rounded, and there are incised lines of a Latin cross that continue down the shaft on both sides. The cross was previously used as a gate pier and was buried in the garden to the south of Hendra Farmhouse. It has recently been uncovered and is in remarkably good condition.
