Description
Hendra Bridge is a road bridge that crosses the River Seaton and was built around 1860. It is constructed from snecked rubblestone with granite dressings. The bridge features a segmental granite dressed stone arch with a granite keystone. On either side of the arch, there are pairs of snecked rubblestone piers that create refuges above. The parapet is made of snecked rubblestone and includes a dressed granite stone string at the base, topped with moulded granite copings. The first Hendra Bridge was erected in 1613.
