Description
No. 30 Higher Lux Street is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It features slate hanging on masonry and a hipped dry Delabole slate roof, with a slate-hung stack on the right side and a moulded iron gutter. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, and there is a box porch located under the third window from the left, with a blind under the second window from the left. The porch includes a pair of panelled doors, square columns at the corners, a moulded entablature, and sidelights with margin panes and some coloured glass. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
