Description

This is a mid-19th century town house located on Greenbank Lane in Liskeard. The front of the house is stuccoed, with a dressed granite plinth, quoins, jambs, and string, set against rubble walls. It has a dry Delabole slate roof with projecting eaves and cast-iron ogee gutters. The house follows a double-depth plan and presents a symmetrical three-window facade. It features original 12-pane hornless sash windows. A central, pedimented porch with partial glazing covers the 6-panel inner door, the upper four panels of which are glazed.

The interior is virtually unaltered, retaining many original features including an open-well staircase with a mahogany handrail over turned newel posts, moulded plaster ceilings in the entrance hall and parlour, window shutters, and at least one original chimneypiece.

A rubble wall is attached to the right rear of the property, containing ramps leading up to a reset doorway with hollow-chamfered granite.
