Description

This is a medieval cross located at the north corner of a crossroads, approximately 250 metres south-west of Dockwell Farmhouse. It was restored in 1967 using a shaft from Crichel, Totnes. The cross is made of granite and features a shaft that is chamfered on all four sides. The cross-head is also chamfered and has hollow moulding on both sides, with a shallow oblong recess in front. Originally, the cross-head was built into the hedgebank at the east corner of the crossroads, which is locally referred to as "Cross gate."
