Description
Busveal Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a cottage. It features white-painted render, likely over rubble and cob, with a thatched roof. The building has a single-depth, two-unit plan, with a rear stair-turret and a small outshut attached to the second bay. It stands at two low storeys. The doorway is located to the right of the center and has a modern glazed door. There are two small 4-pane sashed windows on each floor, with the first-floor window to the right offset to the left and partly over the doorway. A short garden wall is attached to the front wall on the left side.
There are modern additions on the right-hand gable wall, which are not of special interest. The left gable wall features a square extruded chimney stack that steps into the eaves, along with large sloped angle buttresses at the rear corner. At the back, there is a small square stair-turret with a 6-pane fixed window and a hipped roof, as well as a similar 4-pane window in the outshut. The interior has been altered.
