Description

ST DAY BUSVEAL SW 74 SW 6/338 Busveal Cottage II Farmhouse, now cottage. White-painted render probably on rubble and cob, thatched roof. Single-depth 2-unit plan, with rear stair-turret and small outshut to 2nd bay. Two low storeys; doorway offset right of centre (modern glazed door); two small 4-pane sashed windows on each floor, that to the right at 1st floor offset left and partly over the doorway. Short garden wall attached to front wall on the left. Modern additions to the right-hand gable wall (not of special interest). Left gable wall has square extruded chimney stack, stepped into the eaves, and large sloped angle buttresses to the rear corner. Rear has small square stair-turret with 6-pane fixed window and hipped roof, and a similar 4- pane window in the outshut. Interior altered.
