Description

This is a headstone from 1766, located 17 metres to the southwest of the west tower of the Church of St Petroc in Padstow. It commemorates John Vivian, the son of John Vivian, a mariner from Padstow, and his wife Elizabeth, who passed away in 1766. The headstone is made of slate and features a rectangular shape with an engraved inscription in a nowy-shaped panel, using both upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
