Description
The Westgate Inn is a public house dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features textured render on what is likely rubble, with slate hanging at the rear and fairly steep dry slate roofs. There are brick and rendered stacks, with the brick stack on the left and the rendered stack on the right of the taller section. The building has a double-depth plan and consists of three storeys on one side and two storeys on the other, creating an overall five-window range. The left side has a symmetrical three-storey, two-window range with a central doorway that includes a door. The upper floors have mid-20th century transomed iron windows with small panes, while the ground floor has 20th century nine-pane windows. The interior has not been inspected.
