Description

The tombchest of John Symons, dated 1758, is located 5 metres to the southwest of the south porch of the Church of St Brueredus in St Breward. It commemorates John Symons, who died in that year. The tombchest is constructed from granite ashlar for the base, chest, and lid. There is a rectangular ledgerstone made of slate that is inset but broken, featuring an inscription in both upper and lower case script.
