Description

This drinking fountain, located on the south side of Lower Castle Lane in St Mawes, was built in 1905 in memory of Joseph Charles Kennerley. It is made of polished granite and features an aedicule with engaged Tuscan columns. The structure has a pulvinated frieze with acanthus corners, topped by a low pitched triangular pediment that includes an anchor in the tympanum. Inside the aedicule, there is a frame that holds a dolphin faucet above a scalloped shell basin.
