Description

This granite milestone, located approximately 98 meters east of Carthew Cottages, is a Grade II listed structure. It stands on the north side of the road between Penzance and St Just, now known as the A3071. The milestone has a rectangular shape with a truncated rectangular pyramid top and reaches just over 1 meter in height. On the south face, which faces the road, there is an inscription of the number "3" within a square, recessed panel, and the lettering is painted black.
