Description
This is a pair of gate piers dating from around the 17th century, located 100 meters to the south-west of Trelaske House in Pelynt. They are made of granite and are square in section, featuring curved necks and ball finials. Each pier is decorated with a spade-shaped heraldic shield displaying the Coat of Arms of the Hill family. It is believed that these piers were originally moved from Lydcott in Morval Parish and were later repositioned at the entrance to the drive of an early 20th-century house.
