Description

Three houses forming a terrace, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco and render, with an asbestos slate roof, which is hipped to the right-hand side, and features projecting eaves with moulded brackets to number 21. They have a double-depth plan and two storeys over a basement. Each house originally had a two-window-range front. The doorways have elliptical heads with stucco rustication and fanlights; number 20 has an original four-panel door, whilst number 21’s entrance is set back on the right. Later 19th or early 20th century four-pane sash windows are set within stucco architraves, although some have been replaced in number 21. The interior of number 20 retains original moulded and carved plaster ceiling cornices in the left-hand room, although the other interiors were not inspected. The attached forecourt walls rise to pavement level and are topped with granite copings and iron railings.
