Description
Bohella Cottage, along with an adjoining house, garden wall, and gate to the south, is a pair of town houses built in the early 19th century. The buildings are finished in stucco over rubble walls and feature a hipped scantle slate roof with a brick axial chimney located over the party wall. Each house has a central stair plan with two rooms, is double depth, and stands two storeys tall.
The symmetrical fronts of both houses have three windows each and doorways. Bohella Cottage, the left house, retains its original doorcase with an entablature and features a pair of top-glazed doors behind an original 16-panelled door. There is also a later canted bay window above. The right house has a large gable-roofed, glazed porch that has replaced the original doorcase. Both houses have 12-pane sash windows, most of which have horns. A central pilaster divides the fronts and is decorated with incised scroll detail. The eaves slightly project and are fitted with a cast iron ogee gutter. The interior has not been inspected.
