Description
The farm buildings at Killiserth Farm date from the 18th century or early 19th century. They feature a ground floor made of Killas stone, an upper floor of cob, and roofs covered with scantle slate, although part of the hipped end has been replaced with corrugated iron. The layout is in an 'L' shape, consisting of a southeast range with three bays that includes a central cart entrance flanked by doors in the side bays, and a southwest limb with two bays that has been extended with a single-storey stone structure now used as an animal house. The buildings are two storeys tall, with boarded doors at ground level that have stone lintels, and a cambered brick arch above the cart entrance. The upper floor, which was formerly a grain store, features two-light vents and a central pitching door above the cartway, along with external steps leading to a door in the southwest limb. The roofs are hipped.
