Description

No. 36 St Thomas Street is a town house located on the site of the gateway of the former Glasney College. It dates from the early 19th century and features stucco on rubble with giant fluted end pilasters over granite ashlar at the ground floor. There is a mid-floor band between the upper floors and an asbestos slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan, stands three storeys high, and has a one-window range. The original 16-pane sash windows are set within moulded architraves on the left, while the right side previously had painted blind sashes. The ground floor includes a central 16-pane sash window and a 20th-century panelled door on the right, with a fairly wide opening on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
