Description

31 St Thomas Street is a late 18th-century town house constructed from coursed granite rubble, featuring flat dressed granite arches. The building has a steep slurried slate hipped roof with brick end stacks and a modillion eaves cornice. It has a double-depth plan that includes a rear wing and stands two storeys over a basement on the right side. The front is symmetrical with three windows. The first floor has late 19th or 20th-century sash windows, while the ground floor features older two-pane hornless sashes. The central doorway is pilastered and has an open pediment with a blind round arch and panelled reveals, leading to a six-panel door with the top four panels glazed. The interior has not been inspected.
