Description

This is a small town house located in Penryn, dating from possibly the early 19th century or a replica of that period. An inscription reads "1737" and includes the initials "R B." The exterior is painted rubble with timber lintels, and it features a steep asbestos slate roof with a half-hip on the left side, and a diagonally-set brick stack. The house follows a double-depth plan and has two storeys and a two-window front. The first floor has bowed casements, potentially from the early 19th century or a replica. These include a three-light window on the left and a two-light window on the right, with 20th-century opening lights. The ground floor has a bowed and outward-sloping tapered window with 36 panes, said to have originated from a ship. The interior has not been inspected.
