Description

The King's Pipe is an incinerator built around 1814 for destroying contraband tobacco, associated with the nearby Custom House. It features a three-stage brick flue set on a granite ashlar plinth with a shallow battered base. The structure is square in plan, and the furnace is accessed from within the courtyard walls of the Custom House.
