Description
Trenance Viaduct is a railway viaduct built in 1874, replacing an earlier timber structure. It is constructed of stone rubble with stone dressings and carries the branch line to Newquay station over the Trenance valley at the southeastern approach to the town. The viaduct features rectangular battered piers with quoins, and the inner sides of the piers have brick relieving arches set below projecting stones with imposts. There are seven round arches in total. The parapet is corbelled and has plain railings, with corbelled rectangular brick piers positioned over alternate piers.
