Description

The Wedge Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 15 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Michael in Landrake. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The monument features a square head with a raised, stylised cherub's head with spread wings and has well-executed lettering. It commemorates James Wedge, who passed away in 1759.
